As a project for the PM Seminar lecture of WS 20/21, a team of IPE students designed and developed a digital compass for the IP Plane capable of providing very precise heading orientation as well as values for pitch and roll using a graphical interface.
The compass was designed as a “three-module-system” which includes an IMU sensor, a RaspberryPi processor, and a 1.8” display that will be attached to specific locations in the IP Plane.
